Hogmanay Party 2016

Celebrate the New Year in style and join us for a traditional Scottish New Year, accompanied by the swirl of the kilt and skirl of the bagpipes. We know what makes a great party: an exciting environment, great food, drink and service, stunning entertainment and music that keeps everyone dancing.


Arrival 7pm for 7.30pm.

  • Homemade roasted butternut squash and red pepper soup served with homemade sun blushed tomato bread
  • Homemade chicken, leek and smoked ham terrine with a port wine reduction and served with toasted Brioche
  • Hot smoked salmon and dill tartlet with a tarragon hollandaise sauce and dressed with rocket salad

Main course

  • Roast ribeye of Scottish beef served with homemade Yorkshire pudding and drizzled with a rich pan gravy
  • Roulade of chicken stuffed with black haggis, wrapped in smoky bacon and drizzled with a whisky sauce
  • Roast fillet of salmon with creamed leeks and bacon, a creamy saffron and mussel sauce and deep fried leeks
  • Roasted chestnut mushroom and tender stem broccoli tart served with a port, blue cheese and leek sauce

(All served with roasted Lyonnaise potatoes, braised red cabbage and honey glazed carrots)

  • Homemade clootie dumpling served with homemade Drambuie custard
  • Homemade Belgian white chocolate cheesecake with a poached raspberry sauce, crumbled raspberries, chocolate shards and served with luxury vanilla ice cream
  • Salted caramel meringue roulade served with homemade cinder toffee and Scottish tablet ice cream

Music and entertainment

Our resident DJ was fantastic last year and promises to deliver the same this year. We are also delighted to welcome back the Stonehaven Pipe Band. A Piper will bring in the New Year. Celebrations go on into the ‘wee sma oors’  finishing at 1am.
